Warhammer Unveils Abaddon Statue By Weta Workshop Along With Other Upcoming Figures

Warhammer chose to start the week by showcasing a number of new products, making fans’ Monday mornings considerably better all throughout the world. Collectibles that you can soon add to your Warhammer collections were among those revealed. Well, the action figurines will arrive soon, but the latest image of Warhammer’s impending Abaddon the Despoiler monument might not arrive so soon.

In November, Weta Workshop unveiled their Lieutenant Titus monument, and it was quite amazing. The extraordinarily detailed Space Marine statue is still available for purchase; it starts at $1,199. Based on the most recent image of Abaddon, Weta’s follow-up is expected to cost roughly the same. The Despoiler’s face is shown in close-ups, revealing an incredible amount of detail in addition to an early peek at Abaddon’s armor development.

The suggestion that Abaddon’s statue will be much larger than the Lieutenant Titus one is almost as amazing as the attention to detail. The Space Marine, with the alien body he is perched on, is 24 inches tall, for those who do not own a $1,200 Titus statue. It is quite the promise that Abaddon’s statue will be considerably larger than that. Although there is currently no word on when it will be completed, die-hard Warhammer enthusiasts with extra cash will probably want to add this statue to their collections.

Warhammer has also revealed three McFarlane’s Toys action figures, which will likely be released this spring, so any day now, if you’d want to avoid waiting and pay a higher price. Ymgarl Genestealer, Iron Warrior, and Blood Angels Reiver Sergeant have all joined McFarlane’s Warhammer collection. In addition to having a melee weapon, the Iron Warrior and Reiver Sergeant are both armed with a gun, and the Ymgarl Genestealer has tentacles dangling from its mouth.

The news that Darktide will get a tabletop version was the other standout from Warhammer’s bumper drop. The card version of the Warhammer 40K video game, which will launch this summer, allows you to play it alone or with up to three friends. Fans of Warhammer of all stripes can expect a busy year ahead, with the release of Space Marine 2, a new card game, and action figures between now and the end of 2024.
