The creator of Rivengard is releasing Warhammer 40000: Tacticus, a new strategy game for iOS and Android.

As you may remember, at our most recent LaunchPad event, we revealed in-depth that Snowprint Studios was developing an untitled Warhammer game. Today, however, the developers of Rivengard and Legend of Solgard have introduced Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, an iOS and Android game that will launch in 2022.

Gamers may expect a deep tactical experience in Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, along with PvE and PvP combat. Alternatively, if cooperative gameplay is more your style, there will be guild boss battles that you may win by banding together with other players. Prior to playing, though, you will have to put together an army from a range of units, including those from the Black Legion, Necrons, Ultramarines, Adepta Sororitas, and more unannounced factions.

The plot for the game was penned by veteran Warhammer author Matt Forbeck. Its story will follow several groups instead of concentrating on one viewpoint, which makes sense considering how vast the universe is. The game’s trailer is available below for a preview of the title.




The game director, Wilhelm Osterberg, commented on the title, saying, “We have a lot of exciting stuff in Tacticus to show off. We’ll be providing more and more information on the gameplay, factions, characters you can gather, story, campaign, PVP combat, and other aspects of the game over the next several weeks and months.

He went on, “We can’t wait for you all to play it with us as we want to bring the excitement of the tabletop game to your mobile devices. For now, though, we hope you’re as thrilled as we are about what we believe to be the first truly revolutionary mobile tactical gaming experience.
